The University of Redlands Conservatory of Music does not pre-screen applicants.
Students who live less than 200 miles from campus are encouraged to perform a live audition. Only those who cannot attend a live audition should submit a video audition.

If you cannot attend one of the audition dates above you can schedule an ad hoc audition. Ad hoc auditions can only be held on weekdays when school is in session. We will follow up to confirm if your requested audition date can be accommodated. Alternatively, you can contact the Director of Music Admissions at (909) 748-8014 or music@redlands.edu to request a weekday audition.

Video auditions for the Conservatory of Music can be uploaded in your applicant status portal once you have submitted the Common Application. The deadline to submit a video audition is Sunday, February 19, 2023, and you will be assigned a time for a virtual interview on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Please refer to the Audition Requirements document and the tips for making an audition video before submitting your video audition.

Uploaded videos should include:

An introduction; a brief discussion of your performing experience, and answer the question "Why do you want to attend the University of Redlands?”
Before beginning your performance, please introduce each piece and give the name of the composer.
