Yuhaaviatam Excellence in Leadership Scholarship

The Yuhaaviatam Excellence in Leadership Scholarship is a competitive award available to Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian undergraduate students at the University of Redlands College of Arts and Sciences. Priority is given to applicants from federally recognized tribes in California, particularly Southern California Native communities, though students from all federally recognized tribes and Native Hawaiian students are encouraged to apply.

A well-qualified applicant will clearly demonstrate their involvement and connection to Native communities, articulate the importance of maintaining these relationships while in college, and explain how they plan to contribute to Native communities after graduation.

Recipients are required to be active members of the campus Native community, demonstrate an ongoing commitment to their communities, and participate in a Native Leadership Development Program for the duration of the scholarship.

If you have questions, please contact Native Student Programs via email at nativestudentprograms@redlands.edu.

    Priority Deadline is February 15.
